TEDx Los Gatos High School

LGHS is hosting its seventh annual TEDx event for the Los Gatos Community - completely virtually!

TEDxLosGatosHighSchool is joining forces with the wider TED organization to launch Countdown: a global initiative pursuing solutions to the climate crisis. The public, independently organized event, licensed by TED, will focus on the theme of curating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. This year’s Countdown event will combine traditional, pre-recorded TED Talks from leading climate researchers and activists with locally produced content including interviews with the LGHS Environmental Outreach Club, interactive opportunities for audience education and participation, features from local, sustainable businesses, and additional components.

When organizing a TEDx event, there is a lot to do including recruiting speakers, choosing and executing a theme, planning activities, approving talks, finding sponsors, and taking care of logistics. The UP team is responsible for all of the above and much more, working throughout the year to make TEDxLosGatosHighSchool a reality.

This is the seventh year that these students will bring the event to the Los Gatos community, and they are very excited to host an event that will be even more impactful than the last.

With the first TEDxLosGatosHighSchool in 2015, UP hopes to keep TEDx an ongoing event.
